Resources

Here you will find a list of helpful resources related to writing. If you have something you think I should add, please let me know.

  • Author Nation. I attended this conference in 2024 for the first time. It was amazing. I learned so much and met so many incredible people. I would recommend going. It covers everything from craft, to advertising, business planning, and more. Vendors are there to promote their products, but they also take the time to answer all the questions you have. It is well worth spending a week in Las Vegas.
  • Metricool. This is a social media scheduling software. But it’s also so much more. Their tagline “The digital Swiss Army Knife for social media marketers” really says it all.
  • Damon Suede writer guides. Books Verbalize and Activate, along with your A game are must haves in your library.
  • For those times you need to brush up on Grammar lessons, check out Khan Academy
  • Looking for a great community of writers, I highly recommend Becoming Writer at The Write Practice. Check out the articles too.
  • Need something fun to inspire your writing and break through that writer’s block? Or maybe you need a gift for a fellow writer? Writing Maps are the answer. I used the Character Map as my inspiration for NaNoWriMo 2016 and am looking forward to using the others I’ve been collecting too.
  • Sometimes you just need a reminder that you’re not alone in this journey and a little inspiration can go a long way. Check out Inspired Writer. Less than five bucks, easy to access anywhere since it’s a Kindle book, and quick, short chapters that give you that little extra nudge you may need.
