Traveling, Writing, and Going to a Conference

It’s been a busy month since I’ve last posted. After finishing my time in Oregon, I headed down into California. The first week there was less than impressive. The town, which will remain nameless, was a rather dreary and depressing place. It was creatively draining and uninspiring. Needless to say, when it was time to leave there, I was more than ready. Fortunately, the next two stops more than made up for that week. A week in Napa and San Francisco, followed by a week in San Luis Obispo refilled my creative tank and reenergized my body and soul. We went for a hike on Sunday afternoon, and this was the view we saw most of the time. Until the rain clouds chased us off that is. And the thunderstorm we had Monday evening was pretty spectacular too. That was something we infrequently got in the Seattle area. So to get to…

Living The RV Life – Week 1

Happy July! As of July 1, 2019, my family and I have embarked on a new chapter, living, working and enjoying life while living full-time in an RV. As I mentioned in my most recent newsletter, we have moved out of the sticks and bricks house that we were living in for the past nine years, and are now learning to live with one another in a much smaller space. The month of June turned out to be pretty crazy, even more so than I was actually expecting it to be. Between moving my daughter home from college, packing up the things we wanted to keep and moving that to…
